U.S. coronavirus deaths cross 1 million mark

The U.S. death toll from COVID-19 has surpassed the staggering milestone of one million. U.S. President Biden said this was a tragic milestone and ordered flags be flown at half-staff at the White House and all federal public buildings. According to data from Johns Hopkins University, the U.S. has the highest COVID-19 death toll worldwide. Also, around 200,000 children had lost one or both parents to COVID-19 as of May 5.
