More than 700,000 people fleeing the conflicts in Ukraine have been recorded in Germany thus far, according to the Interior Ministry data released on Saturday.
German Interior Minister Horst Seehofer said the influx was now subsiding from an average of 15,000 refugees a day entering Germany in mid-March to about 2,000 a day. Meanwhile, about 20,000 people a day are now crossing the border back into Ukraine.
