The UN Security Council on Thursday voiced strong condemnation of the killing of Al-Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh.
The Palestinian-American journalist, who was 51, was fatally shot while reporting on an Israeli military operation in the West Bank town of Jenin on May 11.
Another reporter was injured during the incident.
The Security Council also expressed condolences to the victims' families and called for a thorough and just investigation to hold people responsible.
