The U.S. is reopening its embassy in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, and will resume the operations "very soon," Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in Berlin following the NATO foreign ministers' meeting.
On the Ukraine crisis, Blinken reaffirmed that the U.S. will continue sanctions, export controls and diplomatic pressures on Russia for as long as necessary.
Meanwhile, the diplomat said the U.S. supports EU efforts on seeking independence of Russian energy and said the U.S. is also taking a number of steps to help including redirecting significant supply of gas to Europe.
