Russia is closely following Finland and Sweden's bid to join the U.S.-led NATO military alliance, and was convinced that their accession would in no way strengthen Europe's security architecture, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Monday.

Commenting on Ukraine's potential entry into the military organization, he said it could lead to a situation where Russia would have a territorial dispute with an alliance member-state.
