Russian President Vladimir Putin held a bilateral meeting with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon on Monday.

It is necessary to continue developing trade and economic relations between the Russian Federation and Tajikistan in light of the current situation, Putin said.

Putin said he was interested in Rahmon's opinion on strengthening security in the region.
