A senior official of the Yemeni armed forces survived a car bomb attack in the southern port city of Aden. The convoy of General Ali Saleh Hassan, chief of the Joint Military Operations Authority, was struck by a car bomb while traveling on the city's main road. The attack occurred around noon when the parked car exploded, targeting Saleh's convoy.

Saleh is confirmed to have survived the attack unharmed, and no casualties were reported among his entourage. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the blast, but local security sources accused terrorist groups of carrying out the attack.
