U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve drops to lowest level since 1987: report

The amount of crude oil stored in the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) dropped by 5 million barrels during the week ending May 13, data provided by the U.S. Department of Energy has indicated.

SPR storage levels have now dropped to 538 million barrels, which is the lowest since 1987.
