U.S. President Joe Biden had not seen his daughter Ashley for "several days" before her positive COVID-19 test and is not considered to be a close contact, White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre said on Wednesday.

Ashley Biden was scheduled to travel to Central America with First Lady Jill Biden on Wednesday afternoon, but will no longer make the trip, the White House said.
