Former Minneapolis police officer pleads guilty to manslaughter in George Floyd case

Thomas Lane, a former Minneapolis police officer, has pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter in the killing of George Floyd. As part of the deal, prosecutors dismissed the second-degree unintentional murder charge against Lane. He faces a sentence of three years on the count of aiding and abetting manslaughter.
