The Japanese government has decided to grant Ukraine an additional $300 million in loans to support the country, NHK reported on Thursday.

Earlier this week, Japan signed a $300 million loan agreement with Ukraine. The latest decision will bring total loans to Kyiv to $600 million.

Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio is expected to brief U.S. President Joe Biden on the loans at a summit next Monday.
