British Prime Minister Boris Johnson told Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan on Friday that Finland and Sweden would be valuable additions to the NATO alliance.
The prime minister's spokesperson said Johnson asked Erdogan to work with the Swedish, Finnish and NATO teams to address any concerns ahead of a leaders summit in Madrid, Spain, next month, confirming that Britain stands ready to support.
Johnson and Erdogan also agreed to work to unlock supply routes for Ukrainian grain to alleviate rising global food prices.
