Ukraine conflict brings rise in food, fertilizer costs: Grain SA chairperson

The price of food and non-alcoholic beverages in South Africa rose 6 percent in April compared with a year earlier, according to new figures released by the country's national statistics agency- Statistics South Africa on Wednesday. Grain SA Chairperson Derek Matthews said in an interview with China Media Group that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine has already had a major impact on food and fertilizer prices.
