Mohamedou Ould Slahi, author of "Guantanamo Diary," a best-seller in the U.S., recalled his horrific time in the dark prison in an exclusive interview with China Media Group (CMG). Slahi is a Mauritanian citizen who was detained without charge from 2002 until his release in 2016. Slahi lived in Montreal, Canada, from November 1999 to January 2000, and was investigated by the security services during that time. In April this year, Slahi filed a $35 million lawsuit against the Canadian government for its "false information" about his activities which led to his 14-year detention.
