China, Pakistan vow to strengthen all-round cooperation
01:26

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has criticized the U.S. Indo-Pacific Strategy, saying it aims to besiege China. Wang's remarks came during a meeting with Pakistani Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari in Guangzhou City, south China's Guangdong Province.

On security issues, the two foreign ministers agreed that any attack targeting Chinese citizens in Pakistan is unacceptable. Three teachers from China and a driver were killed in a bomb attack near a Chinese language learning center in Karachi last month.

The two ministers discussed regional security, counter-terrorism efforts, the economy and the Belt and Road Initiative. Wang said China wants to work with Pakistan to help develop and revitalize the region.
