An EU-wide agreement on a ban on Russian oil won’t be reached at next week's European Council summit, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said on the sideline of the World Economic Forum in Davos on Tuesday, according to Politico.

Von der Leyen told Politico in an interview that she didn't want to raise "false expectations" of a deal being stuck next week.
