Historian cautions against deepening Japan-U.S. ties

U.S. President Joe Biden finished a three-day stay in Japan on Tuesday as part of a five-day trip aimed at strengthening American relations in East Asia. Leaders of the two nations discussed the U.S. plan known as the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework.

However, Japanese historian and professor at Tsuru University, Tokushi Kasahara, cautioned against deepening ties with the U.S.
