Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Wednesday that he was only willing to speak directly with Vladimir Putin and not through mediators. He added that if the Russian president "understands reality" there was the possibility of finding a diplomatic way out of the conflict.
Zelenskyy, speaking to an audience at the World Economic Forum in Davos, also said that Ukraine would fight until it recovered all of its territory.
Earlier on Tuesday, Zelenskyy said in an interview with the Japanese public broadcaster NHK that Ukraine will resume talks with Russia when Russian troops get withdrawn to the positions held before February 24, which Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko called "not constructive" in response on Wednesday.
