At the Marine Biotechnology Industrial Park in Donggang City, northeast China's Liaoning Province, staff are busy resuming production after a surge in COVID-19 cases. Four enterprises have now resumed large-scale construction, with a total planned investment of 723 million yuan ($108 million). At present, 220 industrial enterprises in the Donggang City Economic Development Zone have all entered the "work resumption" stage. But it's not just businesses that are working hard, farmers are as well. Many farmers have their own ways of ensuring a rich harvest and strong production volumes. In Gaizhou City, more than 5,000 mu (823 acres) of watermelon have ripened and are now ready for sale.
