Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday held phone talks with French President Emmanuel Macron over the situation in Ukraine.
The two leaders also discussed the entry of Sweden and Finland into NATO.
According to the French Presidency, Macron stressed to Erdogan "the importance of respecting the sovereign choice of these two countries" which he maintained was "the result of a democratic process" and "a reaction to the evolution of their security environment."
