The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) said on May 25 that several military bases near Goma, capital of the North Kivu province in the northeastern part of the DRC, were attacked by rebel groups early in the morning. According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, tens of thousands of people there have been displaced.
