The West has declared “total war on the entire Russian world,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said during a meeting of the Council of Heads of Russian Subjects on Friday.

“The current situation with the ‘cancellation’ of Russia by the West will remain for a long time,” Lavrov added.

The Council of Heads of Russian Subjects, a body under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, was established in 2003. Its purpose is to assist the country in the development of international relations.
