Russian President Vladimir Putin is addressing a meeting of the Supreme Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EAEU), the highest authority of the Eurasian Economic Union, via video link.

Putin said that pressure on Russia from a series of unfriendly countries is an act of "aggression".

Putin has called attention to the issue of guaranteeing food security in the EAEU, saying that Russia and its partners have shown a high degree of responsibility in this regard.

Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia make up the Eurasian Economic Union, which was formed in 2015.
