Beijing playgroup offers new possibilities for preschool childcare

Eighteen years ago, Sihuan Playgroup was founded at a market in Beijing to provide preschool childcare for the children of migrant workers. It has since become a community-based mutual aid organization in which parents look after the children together, organizing activities and sharing the rent.
