Ahmad Sharifi, an expert in Iraqi strategy, said in a recent interview that the U.S. was chanting democratic slogans and not seeing any results. The reality is even the opposite of the slogans that the U.S. has put forward. The U.S. invasion of Iraq was not about helping Iraq, it was to strengthen U.S. dominance in the Middle East, he added.
