China's National Meteorological Center continued to issue a blue alert for severe convective weather, a blue alert for heavy rain, a yellow alert for high temperatures and a yellow alert for fog at 06:00 on May 29.

It is expected that from 8 a.m. on May 29 to 8 a.m. on May 30, areas including southwest Heilongjiang Province, western Jilin Province, central and southern Liaoning Province and eastern Hebei Province will have thunderstorms, gale or hail weather of magnitude 8-10 or above.

Places including southern Anhui Province, northeastern Jiangxi Province and western Zhejiang Province will have heavy rainfall.

On May 29, the temperature in some places including most of Henan Province and northern Shandong Province will reach more than 35 degrees Celsius.

Persistent heavy rainfall can cause landslides, debris flows and other geological disasters. Multi-government departments have jointly issued a geological disaster warning for mountain floods.
