The Russian military has confirmed having captured the strategic town of Lyman in the Donetsk region on Saturday and claims that it has surrounded the urban center of Severodonetsk. Kyiv said it is doing "everything" to defend the eastern Donbas region. Meanwhile, the U.S. is reportedly planning to send more advanced weapons to Ukraine.
