Beijing recorded 18 new local COVID-19 infections between midnight and 3 p.m. on Monday, Liu Xiaofeng, deputy head of the municipal disease prevention and control center, said at a press conference on Monday.
Among the infections, one case was found outside the quarantine areas in Fengtai District.
Beijing's Chaoyang District will gradually resume public transport and scrap work-at-home rules barring quarantine areas.
So far, the Chinese capital has logged a total of 1,752 COVID-19 infections since April 22.
