Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday talked over the phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin, discussing situation in Ukraine, according to the Turkish presidency.

During the conversation, Erdogan expressed readiness to organize a meeting in Istanbul between Russia, Ukraine and the United Nations and stated the need to establish peace between Russia and Ukraine as soon as possible.
