CGTN correspondent Dmitriy Maslak interviewed Russian finance minister Anton Siluanov on May 27. The West slapped sanctions on Russia over Moscow's "special military operation" in February. Since then, the ruble has staged a spectacular rebound and strengthened around 30 percent against the dollar. Siluanov said that the exchange rate of the ruble is determined exclusively by market mechanisms, not human intervention or central bank regulations.
