Shanghai will resume residential community access, public transport operations and motor vehicle passage in an orderly manner from June 1, the municipal COVID-19 Control and Prevention Office said on Monday as the city recovers from a COVID outbreak that began in March.

The city also launched measures to support its economy on Sunday, including reducing some taxes on car purchases.
