On the eastern bank of the Chuanhe River in Jingdong Yi Autonomous County, southwest China's Yunnan Province, a stretch of auburn mounds and pillars stand out, making up a dense forest guarding the foot of the Ailao Mountains. This is one of the four unique earth forests in Yunnan, Jingdong Earth Forest. Comprising many earth pillars, the forest presents a special water-eroded landform.
