On May 30 and 31, Nepalese rescue teams recovered almost all the bodies from the wreckage of a passenger plane that crashed early on May 29 with 22 people on board in the Sanosware area of the town of Thasang, in the Mustang district, Nepal. The plane, a Twin Otter from Nepalese company Tara Air, went down shortly after it took off on a flight from Pokhara to Jomsom. Pokhara airport spokesman Dev Raj Subedi said the plane appears to have collided with a large rock on the hill.
