Following more than two months of lockdown, Shanghai has resumed public transportation services, and private vehicles are allowed on the roads in an orderly manner from June 1. Except in medium- or high-risk COVID-19 regions and areas under lockdown or epidemic control, residents will be allowed to leave their communities freely and use private cars. Public transportation will fully resume, including buses and metro services. Taxis will also resume normal operations.
