Cable stringing underway for world's highest cross-river transmission towers

Engineers and construction personnel are installing cable strings that will connect the world's highest cross-river twin transmission towers, sending electricity from the north to the south of China. Engineers and personnel will install a total of 53 spacers for the power lines each day, with each one taking five or six minutes on average. The construction team also have used robots to speed up progress. The project will be put into use in 2023, and is expected to supply electricity for eight million households.
