Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, has tested positive for COVID-19, said Buckingham Palace on Thursday, adding he will no longer attend the Jubilee Service of Thanksgiving at St. Paul's Cathedral on Friday.
A four-day celebration kicked off Thursday to mark Britain's Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee for her 70 years in service.
"After undertaking a routine test the duke has tested positive for COVID and with regret will no longer be attending tomorrow's service," a palace spokesman said.
British media said Andrew saw the Queen in the last few days but has been doing regular testing, and has not seen her since he tested positive.
