Timor-Leste's President Jose Ramos-Horta said that China, the world's second largest economy, has made great contributions to global and regional economies. This year marks the 20th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Timor-Leste. Horta said that Timor-Leste will extend cooperation with China and is willing to join the Association of Southeast Asian Nations to promote regional economic development.
