Members of the United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine will undertake their first mission to Ukraine from June 7 to 16, 2022.
Three UN commissioners, Erik Møse, Jasminka Džumhur and Pablo de Greiff, will visit several locations in Ukraine and meet with people affected by the conflict, as well as Ukrainian officials.
The commissioners are scheduled to conduct a press conference on June 15.
The commission is an independent body mandated by the UN Human Rights Council to investigate all alleged violations and abuses of human rights and violations of international humanitarian law, and related crimes in the context of the ongoing Ukraine crisis, among other things.
