The National Museum of Brazil unveiled the rare skeleton of a giant sperm whale unearthed in 2014 for the first time during the celebration of its 204th anniversary on June 6. The recovered skeleton of the adult male sperm whale measured 15.7 meters in length. In 2018, 90 percent of the 20 million objects in the museum were destroyed in a fire.
