A heavy downpour hit Ganxian District in eastern China's Ganzhou City on June 6, with cumulative rainfall reaching 325 mm in 24 hours. Flash floods broke out in some towns, disrupting traffic and trapping residents. Rescue workers in rubber boats were immediately dispatched to evacuate the trapped people. Also, flash floods have inundated a large amount of farmland with more than half a meter deep water. Rescue workers have safely transferred thousands of trapped people in the district.
