Russia suspends agreement with Japan over fishery in disputed waters

The Russian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday suspended an agreement dating from 1998 allowing Japanese fishermen to fish for a quota of marine resources near the southern Kuril Islands. Japan calls the islands the Northern Territories.
