U.S.' own 'backyard' backfires

The Summit of Americas, being held in Los Angeles from June 6-10, is being boycotted by a high number of Latin American countries. The boycotters criticize the Biden administration for refusing to invite the leaders of Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua. This diplomatic farce has exposed the waning U.S. influence in the Western Hemisphere, which is also the price that the U.S. must pay for promoting its own national interests and hegemony.
