Chinese President Xi Jinping and Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili on Thursday exchanged congratulatory messages on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
China and Georgia established diplomatic ties on June 9, 1992.
Describing the two countries as cooperation partners with traditional friendship, Xi said China and Georgia have promoted cooperation in various fields with concrete efforts and engaged in effective communication and coordination in international affairs during the past 30 years, achieving healthy and steady development of bilateral relations.
He hailed the mutual support and solidarity between the people in the two countries in the fight against COVID-19.

Xi said he attaches great importance to the development of China-Georgia relations and is ready to make joint efforts with the Georgian president to advance fruitful cooperation in various fields to benefit people in both countries.
Zourabichvili said Georgia is committed to developing friendly relations with China and stands ready to work with China to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation and promote prosperity in both countries.
