The First Historical Archives of China (FHAC) recently completed the renovation and exhibition installation of Huang Shi Cheng, an old structure located not far away from the Forbidden City in Beijing. The old building with a history of 488 years was reopened. It shows the unique charm of China's ancient architecture and the preservation and protection of China's ancient books and archives.

The 17th-20th century "Silk Road" historical archives exhibition of Huang Shi Cheng was opened to the audience, according to China Media Group's report. The exhibition introduces the history and culture of ancient China that connected Asia, Africa and Europe.

With 1,812 constellation pictures, "Constellation diagram of equatorial north and south" from the exhibition represents a result of the cultural exchange between the East and the West and is one of the highest achievements in the study of celestial literature in the world at that time.

Thursday marks the 15th International Archives Day. Archives worldwide host events to showcase their collections on this day, and share stories with each other and with fans of archives.
