Relief work underway after quakes jolt Maerkang in SW China

A magnitude-5.8 earthquake, at a depth of 10 kilometers, hit Maerkang City in southwest China's Sichuan Province at 00:03 on June 10, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center. Several aftershocks ensued, the strongest being magnitude 6.0. No casualties have been reported.
