67 hectares demonstration field sets new yield record for wheat in dry land

According to the actual yield measurement by the agricultural expert group, the average wheat yield per mu of the "Luohan 22" thousand mu (67 hectares) demonstration field in Yiyang County, Henan Province, reached 659.52 kg. Once again breaking the record for highest yield of wheat in China's dry land. 

The expert group selected 3.53 mu (0.24 hectares) as a sampling section in the demonstration base to test. After on-site weighing, removing impurities, and measuring the moisture content of wheat grains with a grain moisture analyzer, the actual yield of "Luohan 22" was 659.52 kg per mu, exceeding the national dry land wheat maintained by "Luohan 6" in 2015. As of June 9, Luoyang city has harvested 3.32 million mu (221,333 hectares) of wheat, accounting for about 93% of the city’s wheat planting area, with summer harvest work coming to an end.
