A special committee in the U.S. House of Representatives has kicked off a series of hearings on its investigation into last year's Capitol riot. June 9's televised hearing is the first of the series. After interviewing more than 1,000 people, a panel gave an overview of its 11-month investigation. The committee said there would be newly unearthed evidence about Trump's role in the incident. The series will last through July.
