Local authorities in southwest China's Sichuan Province are coordinating rescue and repair work after a 6.0-magnitude earthquake jolted parts of Sichuan. According to China Earthquake Networks Center, the epicenter of the quake that took place at 01:28 Friday (Beijing Time) is at a depth of 13 kilometers.
No casualties have been reported so far, but the earthquake led to road disruptions, and 10 local crew members were deployed to the epicenter for disaster investigation. A total of 450 fire and rescue crew members and 370 forest firefighters have joined the rescue efforts, with over 1,280 prepping up for support.
