China will "fight to the very end" to stop Taiwan from declaring independence, said State Councilor and Minister of National Defense General Wei Fenghe in a speech at the Shangri-La Dialogue. He called the pursuit of "Taiwan independence" a dead end. "Stop the delusion! Soliciting foreign support will never work. Don't ever think about it!"
