A large explosion on Monday afternoon at a chemical factory in Iran's southern Fars province has left over 112 people injured, according to Fars State Medical Emergency Service.

The explosion occurred due to the leak of one of the ammonia tanks of Kaveh sodium carbonate factory in Firouzabad City.

The roads nearby were closed because of the spread of poisonous gas.
